It's one of those days.....

OK, so if you are white, born in Africa and move to the United States are you African-American or is that title only for African-Americans of color?  I saw a Mustang Fastback at a light today....not unusual, but it said Driving Instructor on the side. Still not unusual but....he made a right turn at an intersection where there are signs posted saying..."No right turn on red"....Hmmmmmm.  Local school districts are trimming their staff to stay within their budgets due to expected shortages in funding.  Is it better to fire a teacher than a secretary?  Why isn't the administration passing out pay cuts to their staff or even getting rid of some of them?  How do you justify your $200K plus position?  Why is every sport except football getting huge cuts?  Did you know some student athletes won't get fed after a game next year if they didn't travel far enough?

Did you read the survey that says we should put recess back in grade schools?  Teachers found the students concentrated better after the physical activity of recess.....seems they settled down better.Hmmmmm something old is new again.

Isn't it funny......McAllen's Mayor didn't get his wish to change how the Lower Rio Grande Valley Development Council distributes Federal money so his city and all big cities would have the edge over the smaller ones...so.....he terminated their lease and gave them 180 days to vacate their building.

How about all those people that got deductions for buying a house.......and now they have to pay back the money.

It's crazy out there......
